Reasons why the speech before  and the song itself All Too Well in the Rep Tour movie killed me:

The fact that the fans have “changed” All Too Well for Taylor so much that she would make it such a major part of the Reputation Stadium movie (releasing a clip beforehand, explaining it and having it take up approximately 2 whole minutes of the movie) is insane. So here are some of the reasons I am in love with this part of the movie:

1. She listened and took in what fans had been saying online and applied it to her tour which is incredible because it shows how much effort she puts in and the appreciation she has for our input.

2. Her little “Okay” and shoulder shrug which was legitimately the dorkiest and cutest thing I have ever seen.

3. The fact that she called it a “tradition” means that it will probably be happening for almost all her other tours and will become a normal part of her tours for us soon.

4. “This song has two lives to it in my brain” - meaning she has two ways of understanding this song now, one is about her and her venting and sadness that this song was birthed from, and the other life where it is just memories of fans screaming the lyrics and that made it more positive for her which is amazing and for us to achieve that and make her feel almost completely different about a song like All Too Well is brilliant. The second life also shows how much we must have impacted her and her perspective of the music she shares with us.

6. The close up of all the fans that are absolutely immersed in her speech and absolutely in love with her and what she is saying it is brilliant to see her impact.

7. The fact she can provide examples of the things that changed her view, (lyrics as tattoos and in notebooks etc.).

8. It shows her character development so well, especially from the times she used to play that song and cry on the stage in the edgy black dress on a red stage and now she is smiling and glowing as she plays the exact same song.

9. Lastly, just how happy she looks and how connected she is to everyone in the audience, she is so close to them and she looks so small with just her guitar but she is so confident and happy and looks so comfortable and I am just so proud of how far she has come it is so amazing to see.
